Monet is an attorney who has acquired significant experience as a litigator and former regulator. Her practice at Krause & Kinsman focuses on representing clients in personal injury and mass tort cases. She takes pride in helping clients navigate the stresses and challenges that are often characteristic of personal injury lawsuits.

Monet began her career at a large law firm in her hometown of Louisville, KY, where her practice focused on personal injury, product liability and insurance matters. She then moved into the financial services industry and developed expertise in regulatory compliance. Over the course of 9 years, her work focused on compliance issues facing broker-dealers and registered investment advisers. She initially worked as an in-house compliance officer for a dually registered investment adviser/broker-dealer. She went on to serve as the primary authority for investment accounts for trusts, estates and POAs for another financial firm. She then became a compliance consultant and helped financial advisors register their investment advisory firms with various state regulators and the Securities and Exchange Commission. She guided her clients through regulatory examinations and provided ongoing compliance services. She went on to become a FINRA regulator where she led complex examinations of FINRA member firms’ finances, operations, sales, underwriting and trading practices, supervisory policies and procedures, and internal controls and systems, to determine compliance with FINRA and SEC rules and regulations.

Monet earned her law degree from the University of Illinois College of Law in 2011. She was awarded a Rickert Award for Excellence in Advocacy, which is the most prestigious honor given to law students by the College of Law, and she graduated cum laude.
